We've just learned Michael Jackson's body is set to be driven to Neverland Ranch late Thursday morning.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ upwards of a 30 car motorcade -- including Jackson's body -- will be traveling from Los Angeles to Neverland at 10 AM on Thursday.

We're told law enforcement is currently meeting to discuss security and traffic control. Our sources say plans are in the works for a public viewing to take place on either Friday or Saturday.

Funeral arrangements for Michael Jackson are still in flux, but one thing is clear: The pop icon will not be buried at Neverland ranch.

Jackson’s family wanted him interred at the Santa Barbara County estate, the site of some of the happiest and saddest times in his life, and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger had agreed to help clear any state bureaucratic hurdles, a source close to the situation told The Times.

But in the end, the source said, county officials could not find a way to quickly circumvent legal restrictions governing burial at a private residence.

"It’s nobody’s fault. Everybody in Santa Barbara feels bad about it,” the source said.

Law enforcement officials had expressed concerns about thousands of cars driving up a narrow mountain road to Neverland.

Santa Barbara County sheriff's Lt. Butch Arnoldi said that the two-lane Figueroa Mountain Road is not designed for a crush of cars and that his department is discussing how to make the route to Neverland as safe as possible.

There have also been reports the memorial might be held at Staples Center.

Santa Barbara County spokesman William Boyer said Wednesday that despite meetings to prepare for the possibility of a memorial service, county officials had not heard from the Jackson family.

"There's been no decisions that have been made as of last night," Boyer said. He said the county and sheriff's officials had been in touch with their law enforcement counterparts in Southern California.

LAPD officials said Tuesday that they met with the Jackson family but that no final decision had been made on either a memorial service or funeral plans.

La famille Jackson a fait diffuser le communiqué suivant :

"Contrairement à des informations annoncées précédemment, la famille Jackson déclare officiellement qu'il n'y aura aucune exposition privée ou publique [du corps de Michael Jackson] à Neverland. L'organisation d'une commémoration publique est en cours et nous ferons une annonce à ce sujet sous peu".

As with many things in the last week, we called it on the burial of Michael Jackson: Latest reports are that the late popster will be interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood, alongside some of the biggest stars.

This column predicted this outcome several days ago.

This morning, we told you before the Jackson will was filed that Diana Ross was named by Jackson as a successor guardian for his children. Later this morning, once the will was filed, TMZ trumpeted the news as if it were new.

But of course, TMZ has been helping themselves to our stories as if Harvey Levin had just come out of the desert and headed for a buffet table.

TMZ isn’t the only one. I’ve particularly loved the stories in the last day or so announcing that a will has “surfaced” or “announced by the Jackson family.”

This column told you first, last week, that the 2002 will existed and that John Branca would be executor. We also told you Katherine Jackson would be named the main guardian of children.

The race to get “scoops” is out of control. TV outlets and blogs like TMZ are simply repurposing original material and pretending it’s theirs. It’s not.

BREAKING NEWS: Michael Jackson's Body Remains At Forest Lawn Mortuary While His Family Scrambles To Finalize Funeral Plans

Michael Jackson's remains are still being held at Forest Lawn Mortuary, RadarOnline.com has learned while his family continues to grapple with how to best memorialize and celebrate his life.

The family has still not made contact with Santa Barbara County officials and their frustration is growing by the hour. "We certainlywish someone from the Jackson camp would let us know what their plans are. In the meantime, we have to be prepared for anything and everything," a well-placed source told RadarOnline.com. "The ranch is on a winding country road and is not equipped to handling the kind of traffic a public service would bring in. It is already jammed with media trucks and fans."

Staples Center has also both repeatedly been rumored as a possible location for the public portion of the event but Michael Roth, spokesperson for the arena told RadarOnline.com that he sent all Staples employees an email this morning advising them that reports the memorial would be at Staples were "not true."

If a public service does take place in Los Angeles and the remains then transported the 130 miles to the ranch for a private family gathering, as other reports have suggested, that too presents nightmare concerns for law enforcement.

California Highway Patrol Office Vince Ramirez told RadarOnline.com: "Once that body starts movement, it's going to create a mob scene We want to make sure we're involved wherever that body goes."

The L.A. Memorial Coliseum has emerged as a possible site for a planned public memorial for Michael Jackson, city of Los Angeles sources told The Times.

The sources, who spoke on the condition that they not be named, said the plans are still fluid but that the Coliseum is a venue being considered.

Another source told The Times that the Jackson family was no longer considering Neverland Ranch for Michael Jackson's burial. Ken Sunshine, a noted Hollywood publicist, released a statement saying that he's representing the Jackson estate and that no burial would take place at Neverland.

If the public memorial is held at a Los Angeles venue, several questions would need addressing, including how to pay for the event and how police would deal with crowd control.

Various media reports have indicated that Jackson will be buried at Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills and that the pop star's body is already there.

But Nancy Sepulveda, a spokeswoman at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills, said Jackson’s body is not there. “We’ve never had him and we’re not going to,” Sepulveda said. “If we were going to, we’d know, right?”

A representative of Colony Capital, the private equity firm that owns Neverland, approached Santa Barbara County officials about burying Jackson at the ranch, an attorney for the county confirmed. Officials researched the request and found extensive bureaucratic hurdles on the state and local level for interment on property that isn’t designated a cemetery.

"We have not seen [such a burial] in recent decades,” the county lawyer, Michael Ghizzoni, said. “Based on our contacts with the state, we think it would be a process of months, not weeks.”

En attendant d'avoir de véritables informations officielles, sachez que CNN a annoncé qu'une cérémonie commémorative aurait lieu dans la matinée du mardi 7 juillet au Centre Staples pouvant contenir 20000 places dans le centre de Los Angeles. Les sources de CNN seraient une personne qui a été informée par un représentant de la famille.
